The Holy Spirit's Smoothies
for Caregivers

May 2024

Dear Friends,

Ooh, ooh, what a present the Holy Spirit has for you! just like he did for the Apostles on Pentecost, some 2,000 years ago. In 2024, the feast is celebrated on May 19. But first things first.

It was St. Paul who wrote: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians
5:22-23).

The Holy Spirit knows, and you know, caregivers need all those ... in abundance. Again and again. Fortunately, he doesn't skimp. Not that he'll run over to the pharrmacy for you or do the laundry and such,But he is ready, willing and able (especially when you're dragging), to offer you his "spiritual smoothie" that's a perfect (divine) blend of all those fruits.Personalized for you.

Low in calories/high in grace.

So place your order anytime, and often.

True, it sometimes seems that the service is slower than you'd like, but listen. He'll never fail to call your name when your order's ready. When, he knows, you're ready for that order. No misorders, no wrong names. After all: "I will never forget you.See, upon the palms of my hands I have engraved you." (Isaiah 49:15)

And!

"Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you." (Isaiah 41:10)

               ---

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the caregivers helping your beloved sons and daughters. Come. Amen.

You remain in my prayers,
Bill
