The Latest
Newsletter
and a Health Update
We've posted the
Spring-Summer 2012 newsletter, "Among Friends." It
includes this health update:
In 2010 FSJC president Monica Dodds was diagnosed
with uterine cancer (carcinosarcoma) and underwent
surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
In late February of this year the family
learned that the cancer has metastasized to her
lungs. At that time her oncologist estimated she
has, at most, a year to live. She is now in a
hospice program.
Monica and Bill and all the family thank
you so much for your concern and your prayers. You
remain in theirs.
We
do thank you, very much. And you are in
our prayers!

This week
we're so pleased to welcome Dietgard H., and Patricia G.
of Illinois; Judith G. and Gloria O. of Louisiana; and
Marian M. of Wisconsin as the newest members of the Friends of St. John the
Caregiver. Please keep them and their intentions in your
prayers. They have promised to pray for you and
yours.
And we
cordially invite you to join
the Friends of St. John
the Caregiver! (FSJC's programs include
YourAgingParent.com and
CatholicCaregivers.com.) You can find out more about
becoming a member
here.
No meetings, no dues. All we ask is that
you pray for caregivers and those receiving care. Our members include
caregivers, care-receivers, and those who support both
(including quite a few former caregivers).
You can:
sign up on-line here
or call us toll-free at
1-800-392-JOHN (5646)
or
print and mail an application form.
God
bless you!
Monica and Bill
